Kerala-based Swapna Suresh has recently been accused of smuggling gold. In a press conference on Saturday, 11th June 2022, Swapna addressed reporters in Kerala’s Palakkad, soon after which, she collapsed.
The event took place after a police case was registered against Swapna’s lawyer, Krishna Raj who reportedly hurt the religious sentiments of the people through a post that she shared on her social media platform Facebook.

Gold Smuggling Accused Swapna Suresh In Kerala High Court Post Consulting Her Lawyer
Swapna Suresh has been accused of smuggling gold in Kerala last week as per the case filed against her by the Left Democratic Front MLA KT Jaleel. Swapna has now decided to challenge the accusations against her in Kerala High Court on Monday, 13th June 2022.
As per Swapna, she has been framed in a conspiracy led by Kerala Chief Minister’s Office, former minister Jaleel, and the Kerala Police. Swapna also consulted her lawyer, Adv. R Krishna Raj later took the decision.
She claimed that she is being threatened to deny the confidential statements she made before the Magistrate regarding the money laundering case related to the gold smuggling. She also said that Kerala Chief Minister and his family along with CPM State Secretary are also involved in the case as the currency was sent to the CM only in 2016 when he was in Dubai.
It was after her confidential statements were made in court, that Jaleel fired a case against her for being involved in the smuggling.
