Jyothi Yarraji Career
Jyothi first came to know in 2015, when she won gold medal at an Andhra Pradesh inter-district meet. After winning gold medal, She moved to the SAI Center to train under coach N Ramesh. He is an Olympian and Dronacharya awardee in Hyderabad.
Jyothi moved to Bhubaneswar at the Odisha Athletics High-Performance Center in 2019. There she met with British coach James Hillier. And then She won the Gold Medal at the Khelo India University Games.
In January 2020, Jyothi clocked national record 13.03 seconds to win gold at the All India Inter-University Athletics meet.
Jyothi made her International Debut in Limassol at the Cyprus International Athletics Meet on 10 May 2022. With a record time of 13.23 seconds, Jyothi broke the old record of 13.38 seconds made by Anuradha Biswal in 2002 for the women’s 100 meter hurdles.
She won the gold medal in the Loughborough International with a time of 13.11 seconds in the UK. Then in just four days, she sets another record time of 13.04 seconds at the Harry Schulting Games in the Netherlands.
