Daniel Sotelo’s Body Identified From Lake Michigan In Chicago- Cause Of Death
Daniel Sotelo, a UIC undergraduate, went missing in late April this year along with his girlfriend. A body that was found in Lake Michigan near Wilmette earlier this month has been identified as that of Sotelo on Saturday, 28th May 2022.
The body was found on 22nd May 2022, by the boaters about one mile offshore in Wilmette. The body was identified using Sotelo’s dental records. The cause of his death has not been revealed yet by the police as the investigation is still going on.
His death was confirmed by his family through an Instagram post shared by his sister, Jennifer Sotelo.

Both, Sotelo, and his girlfriend, Natally Brookson, 22 went missing in late April. Brookson was also a student of UIC. Her body was recovered on 2nd May 2022 from Lake Michigan only. The cause of her death is also still under investigation.
