Cody Ackland is recently been in the headlines for allegedly murdering an 18-year-old girl named Bobbi-Anne McLeod by repeatedly beating her with a hammer.
The artist reportedly dumped the body near a Plymouth beach. The girl reportedly went missing on 20th November 2021 when she left her house at around 6 pm to meet her boyfriend.
As per the reports, she was then kidnapped by Cody as she resembled one of Cody’s past girlfriends. The girl’s family immediately filed a missing complaint.
After killing her, Cody spend the next two days socializing with his friends and on the third day, he went to the police station all by himself and confessed his crimes.
He also told police that the next day after killing the girl, he threw the hammer into the river and the blood-stained clothes of himself and the girl into the nearby allotments in a carrier bag which were later on recovered by the police.
Not only this, he himself guided the police to the location where he dumped the body. His phone data and the forensic evidence were also collected by the police.
He had pleaded guilty to murder and 30 years of life imprisonment as his sentence was on 19th May 2022.
