Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust lookout and gave declaration that continued ventilatory support for Infant best interest. Alfie's Parents contested the application. Alfie's ventilatory support was removed on April 23, 2018.

Alfie's ventilatory support removed because of unsuccessful appeals from Alfie's Parents. After removal of breathing tube child breathe naturally for 5 days but on 28 April 2018 at 2:30 am he died.

According to Reports, He needs prolonged ventilator support with the surgical tracheostomy and would remove nasogastric tube with the replacing gastrostomy. At the end remove his life support.

Treatment

Alfie's treatment was started when he was only 6 months old. His Parents take him at Alder Hey Children's Hospital but no improvement then they shift to the Bambino Gesu Hospital in Rome. They transfer child to Italy in September 2017.
