Evelyn Glennie’s full name is Dame Evelyn Elizabeth Ann Glennie. She is a Scottish Musician with her instrument Percussion. In the year 2015 In Polar Music Prize, she is selected as one of two laureates.
In her musical career, North-east Scotland plays a major role. Piano and clarinet were her first instrument to play.
At the age of 8 she started losing her hearing power and At age 12 she was permanently deaf. In her live performance and In-studio recording, she plays barefoot to feel the music. The public misunderstands her deafness then she tells she can feel music from the other parts of her body. She publishes one book on it in the year 2003 to explain “How To Truly Listen”.
